Toilet Roll Tube Snake

By | January 3, 2017

It’s been such a long time since we did a toilet roll rube craft. I hate to confess this, but it did get to the point that I actually threw some away! So, back to it!

You will need:

  • 4 Toilet roll tubes
  • 2 Colours of paint
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Googly eyes
  • Tissue paper or card

You may notice that on all my other crafts, I’ve substituted googly eyes for made from white card eyes…someone got some googly eyes for Christmas.

Cut 3 of your toilet roll tubes into 3 equal pieces, then the fourth in half.

Paint the outsides one colour, leave to dry, then paint the insides a different colour. Leave to dry.

Lie the smaller pieces flat, and glue together. I went for a squiggly design, but you could just do them straight. For squiggles, it’s much easier to lie them flat to position them. Leave the glue to dry.

For the head, take one of the larger pieces, and glue it on to one of the end pieces, but the other way, so the tube points vertically.

Again, leave to dry.

Once dry, add some googly eyes, and a tongue made from either tissue paper, or card.
