Toilet Roll Tube Snowmen

By | December 4, 2016

I’ve decided it’s time for Christmas crafts. You get such a small window to do them, especially now The Boy is at school, but The Girl is still a bit young to be bothered. So obviously, we started with a toilet roll tube craft. As we do! Snowmen are really easy to do, but look great.

You will need:toilet roll snowmen stuff

  • Toilet roll tubes
  • Paints
  • Pipe cleaners

Firstly, paint the tubes white.

While they are drying, if you wanted you could cut eyes, nose, mouth and a hat out of coloured card. We just painted ours on, this is much easier to do when you are working with a white base.

Once they are dry, either stick them on. Or paint some. Remember, the mouth is coal! I painted some coloured hats on the top, then had a large face with the pipe cleaner tied around the bottom for a scarf.

Another option would be to have a smaller and higher face, then the scarf half way down. Leaving you space to add some buttons.

Ours are currently living on our Christmas tree, where they look really cool.
