BlogOn Christmas Jumper Linky

In a few weeks’ time, I’m going to my first ever blogging conference, BlogOn, in Manchester. While I’m looking forward to the conference, meeting people, getting lots of cool stuff and learning a lot, I’m also thinking, because it’s Christmas themed, afterward, I can start doing Christmas things. It’s like the official start of the Christmas period. I will, however, not be wearing a Christmas jumper…I literally never have!

I’m not nervous about the conference as such, perhaps a little worried about the drive over (it’ll be my first big journey alone) and slightly wishing I’d booked a hotel so it wasn’t all in one day.

This post is a little QandA from BlogOn, so we can all get to know each other a little bit.

Please share your favourite photo of you.

I hate photo’s of me, here’s a recent selfie with husband!

If you could choose a band to play in your garden for your birthday, who would you pick?

Erm, I don’t know at all. Can I have something really naff like Neil Diamond for the funnies?!

What do you take with you for long visits to the toilet?

I don’t. I don’t do long trips to the toilet. I’ve got no patience for pooing, if it’s not coming out in 30seconds,  I’m not going!

What word can’t you spell?

I work as a freelance writer, so I really should say “none, I can spell everything” but…definitely, I have issues with, business too, necessary is probably the worst. I also write “alot” every time, I know it’s not a word but I can’t stop myself!

What’s the most unusual job you’ve ever had?

I haven’t really, I worked for a popular restaurant chain for years and had a great time, then I worked in visual merchandising which was fun, now I’m a writer.

Knitting, sewing or crochet?

I’m completely useless at anything like this. I’ve not got the patience. I blame my mum, she started crocheting me a blanket when I was pregnant with The Boy, he was 6 before I got it!

Without looking it up, what is a jerkinhead?

I think it’s a type of roof, but I can’t see why you’d have asked me that, so I’m doubting myself!!

If you could have as much of one food as you wanted forever, what would it be?

Cheese probably. Maybe pasta. I can’t pick one!

What is the scariest thing you’ve ever done?

I can’t think of anything…I don’t scare easily!

If you needed a getaway driver, who would you choose?

Jenson Button if he’d do it!

Would you rather live in Narnia or at Hogwarts?

Hogwarts. Narnia is bloody cold!

What snack food says ‘Christmas’ to you?

Mince Pies but I don’t actually like them. So, I just eat maybe one when I get excited about them being in Adsa. Everything else I eat all year around, so it doesn’t mean as much!

Is there life on Mars?

Yes, I think there at least has been hasn’t there? Not like humanoids, but some kind of living cell. I do think there’s life in the alien sense out there somewhere, but nowhere close. The universe is too big for it to just be us, I think it’s quite arrogant to think this is all for us. We’re crap!

Which Christmas movie would you be a character in, and who would play you?

Die Hard! I’d play myself. Maybe I’d be a love interest for Hans.

What are you proudest of?

The kids probably. Soppy and cliché as that is. They’re awesome!
