Greek Chicken Wraps

I worry that really this marinade is only Greek, because of its Greek yoghurt. But that will do. Tzatziki and flatbreads are Greek. So, it’s Greek! I make my own Tzatziki and flatbreads, but they are easy to buy if you need to save time.

Ingredients

  • 3 Chicken breasts, sliced
  • Flatbreads to serve
  • Tzatziki to serve
  • Lettuce to serve
  • Red onion to serve
  • 3 Tomatoes to serve
  • 1 Red Pepper to serve
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 3 Tsp. Lemon Juice
  • 3 Tsp. White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Oil
  • 3 Tbsp. Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Tsp. Mixed herbs
  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Method

That looks like a huge list, but a lot of it is for the salad, which you can change and include what you want. I go for lettuce, red onion, pepper, and tomato.

For the marinade, finely chop the garlic, then mix it together with, lemon juice, white wine vinegar, oil yoghurt, herbs, salt and pepper. Coat the chicken breasts with it, and leave for at least 2 hours.

When it’s time, fry the chicken in a little oil until cooked through.

Lightly spread the flatbread with tzatziki, add any salad you like, then place several chicken strips on top.

Then roll the sides in to serve. Cut in half for little hands.

Gyros style Greek Chicken Wraps with homemade flatbreads and tzatziki!

Ingredients
  • 3 Chicken breasts - sliced

  • 3 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 3 tsp White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 tbsp Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Mixed herbs
  • Pinch Salt and pepper
Method
  1. Mix the sliced chicken breasts with the lemon juice, vinegar, garlic, oil, yoghurt, herbs and salt and pepper.

  2. Cover and leave in the fridge for at least 2 hours. 

  3. Gently fry the marinated chicken in a splash of oil for 10-15 minutes until cooked through. 

  4. Spread tzatziki on a flatbread, add the salad, lay chicken on top and roll. Serve straight away.
