Top 5 Autumn Kids Crafts
We’ve done quite a lot of fun crafting this Autumn, there’s even more that we haven’t gotten around to yet. Autumn is a great time for crafting, it’s starting to get colder, so activities at home are always good. But everything is so beautiful, so it’s easy to get inspired by nature. These are our favourite Autumn crafts.
Not strictly a craft. But so very Autumnal, and such a great morning out. The kids love it, and they get to learn at the same time, which is always a bonus. You could easily make your own sheet, but we used one from the woodland trust website.
You could do this at any time of year really. The colours of Autumn just make it incredibly beautiful. It requires almost no actual skill, you could print out a tree picture, but the kids love it as the get to stick their fingers in paint. The ones we did are still proudly displayed on The Boy’s wall.
We save all our toilet roll tubes. There’s just so much you can do with them. Halloween isn’t something I particularly enjoy. I’m just not bothered about it. But it is a good time to get crafty. A quick Pinterest search turns up 100’s of ideas. We now have about 10 different monsters on display. The Boy likes to get the down to play with. Definitely a worthwhile activity.
Another great one if you’ve got no talent. I’m in the process of writing a list of Christmas crafts, there’s a lot of hand-prints there too. It’s amazing what you can make using a hand or footprint if you really put your mind to it. Again, the kids love it because they get to make a mess!
I love these. Once bonfire night has passed they can easily be adapted to make rocket ships. We’re going to have toilet roll tube absolutely everything I think.
